Custom 3D Printed Wrist Support

At 3D Printing Derby, we worked on a project to create a custom wrist support designed for individuals recovering from strain-related injuries. Traditional wrist braces can be uncomfortable and restrictive, so our goal was to design and manufacture a lightweight, ergonomic solution that combined comfort with durability.

Using PA12 Nylon material, we produced a support that offered excellent strength and flexibility while maintaining a smooth surface finish for comfort during daily use. This material is known for its toughness, resistance to wear, and skin-friendly properties, making it ideal for medical and wearable applications.

By leveraging CAD design and 3D printing technology, we were able to customise the wrist support to fit precisely, ensuring better functionality and user comfort compared to off-the-shelf alternatives. The result was a durable, practical, and professional-looking support that highlighted the benefits of modern 3D printing in Derby for healthcare and personal applications.

This project demonstrates how 3D printing with PA12 Nylon can be used to create high-quality, bespoke medical supports that are both functional and comfortable for everyday use.
