Dinosaur Skull Exhibit – Local Museum

At 3D Printing Derby, we were commissioned by a local museum to create a unique, interactive exhibit for visitors. The project involved 3D scanning and 3D printing a detailed dinosaur skull, transforming a digital model into a physical object that could be handled and explored.

The challenge was to capture the intricate details of the skull while ensuring the final print was durable enough for public interaction. Using high-resolution scanning and precision 3D printing technology, we produced an accurate replica that combined educational value with hands-on accessibility.

This project showcases how 3D printing in Derby can support museums, schools, and educational institutions by creating replicas, models, and exhibits that bring history and science to life. The result was a highly engaging display that allowed visitors to experience the scale and texture of the dinosaur skull in a way that traditional exhibits cannot provide.

By combining 3D scanning, CAD preparation, and advanced printing, we were able to deliver a one-of-a-kind exhibit that continues to inspire curiosity and learning.
